Questions, answered

Do I need to run the grinder while turning the dial?+
The Crown tracks your adjustments perfectly, but it doesn't change the physics of coffee burrs. Just like with the stock knob, if you are adjusting finer while there are beans in the chamber, you should run the motor to prevent jamming. If you single-dose and the chamber is completely empty, you can adjust freely anytime.
Do I need a phone or app?+
No — everything lives on the dial itself. No app, no pairing, no account, no connection. Save, recall and read your grind right on the Crown; it works the moment it’s installed.
Will it fit my grinder?+
The Crown is built for the Eureka Mignon and Oro Mignon series with the standard right-side knob. Check the Compatibility page for the full model list — and if you’re unsure, message us and we’ll confirm.
Does turning the dial still grind?+
Yes — turning physically moves the burrs, exactly like your stock knob. The screen is an honest readout of where you are. Nothing about the mechanical feel changes.
Is it hard to install?+
No tools on supported grinders — the stock knob comes off and the Crown goes on in a couple of minutes. A one-time calibration sets your zero.
